Pastor Jawet Gwiriri, a trained counselor and youth leader, is passionate about the Tug of Life methodology and its ability to get young people (and families) thinking about their choices. He has dedicated himself full time to running Tug of Life programmes in the Harare area. His aim is to get thousands of young people to take charge of their lives by making the best choices.

The Tug of Life steers young people away from the challenges, and empowers them to be their best selves. The Tug of Life methodology is the most powerful tool available to our youth. Young people can apply it to all aspects of their lives. No lengthy or complicated courses needed. They can apply it within minutes of being introduced to it and they can use it throughout their lives.

Zimbabwe’s people face enormous challenges on a day-to-day basis. Tug of Life makes a significant difference to how people cope with and address these challenges. Unfortunately none of the children’s families can afford to pay for any of the materials, so there is a great need for external funding to make it possible for them to gain access to it.

How can you help?

Pastor Jawet currently needs a projector, laptop, and banners, posters and books, as well as help with transport to the various schools.

He has the energy and passion, and he works with Tug of Life 7 days a week. His achievements are outstanding! We’ve been able to fund him for an initial period of 3 months, but our funding is limited, so we are appealing to the public for any assistance in helping us to help him reach more of Zimbabwe’s youth and families!

Feel free to make a donation directly to us, using ‘Jawet’ as your reference, which we will allocate directly to him. We are 18a registered, so all donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions or are able to assist in other ways, please contact us and we will get back to you shortly.
